MPHTC Field Placements

MPHTC will offer 20 internships to Public Health Students in Region VII

Annual Stipend: $1,500 per student

Number of Stipends Awarded: 20 across HHS Region VII (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska). Five stipends will be available for students in each state.

Purpose: This stipend will help support field placement internship projects of students enrolled in a Master’s level public health program.


  • Students must be currently enrolled in a MPH program in a school or program of public health in HHS Region VII.
  • Students must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Preference will be given to students doing their field placement project in a rural or frontier area, working with underserved populations, and/or students working to support tribal health.
