In this webinar the speakers will provide an overview of the community health needs assessment (CHNA) requirements for charitable 501(c)(3) hospitals. Speakers will discuss the CHNA legal framework, describe the Centers for Disease and Prevention’s Community Health Improvement Navigator, highlight resources for implementing the CHNA process, and describe strategies for moving from the assessment stage to broader population health initiatives. The webinar will also include case studies highlighting the legal challenges and opportunities inherent in any CHNA program. Participants will also be able to ask questions of the speakers.

Level of Difficulty: Intermediate
Intermediate-level programs generally offer focused discussions regarding common legal issues pertaining to the program topic. Intermediate programs include legal updates and changes in the law. Speakers will assume the audience has a working knowledge of this specialty of health law, and there will be limited review of the fundamentals. This program is designed to provide a targeted, comprehensive analysis of the subject matter for those practicing law in this specialty for three to seven years and/or those whose practice is periodically focused in the covered subject area.
