Field Placement Internship Program
2022-2023
Annual Stipend: $3,500 per student
Number of Stipends Awarded: At least 25 stipends across the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Region 7 (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska) will be awarded. A minimum of five stipends will be available for students in each state.
Purpose: This stipend will help support field placement internship projects of students enrolled in the following:
- Master’s level public health program
- Junior or senior in an undergraduate public health program
- TCUs (Tribal Colleges and Universities)
Eligibility
- Students must be currently enrolled in a health science academic program in HHS Region 7.
- Students must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Preference will be given to students doing their field placement project in a rural area with a focus on socio-environmental factors of public health.
